Nancy Barth is a consultant who blogs about how to use the iPad to help special needs kids. She has written several books and conducts trainings as well. She recently wrote this post about the best apps to use for a wide range of special needs issues. She named QuestionBuilder and ConversationBuilder as top apps to help children learn how to communicate with teachers and their peers. She goes on to list another dozen or so apps that are “must have” apps for every special needs parent.
ConversationBuilder is an award winning conversation simulator that allows students to participate and record back and forth conversations on a variety of subjects with a virtual or real life peer. QuestionBuilder teaches students how to answer questions and make inferences. Both apps have won multiple awards and are have multiple blog reviews written about them.
