Mobile Education Store is pleased to announce the release date for TenseBuilder has been set for August 24th. This grammar application has been over a year in the making. I have developed a completely new way to teach proper tense. Several SLP’s have been playing with it for the last six months with their students. Here is what one just wrote me last week.
OK, I am SO excited about the half hour I just had with TenseBuilder. I saw a boy who is perfect for your apps but has never had the attention/motivation to sit with any of them long enough to benefit. Very bright, very severe on the autism spectrum, very limited attention, very strong will. Super cool kid. 7 years old, only started talking last year.
I tried him again today on TenseBuilder and he FEASTED on it. This is the first time he really sat and focused on anything instructional (and not his agenda) on the iPad and he picked that past tense form up quick. Watched that abbreviated lesson and went back and got the correct answer. Laughed at the movies. Proudly saved 10 sentences and then cried and threw a fit when it was time to go. I can’t tell you what a leap that was for us.
This mirrors my own experience using it with Caitlyn. She has really struggled with Tense and nothing seems to be working to help her. After 20 minutes with TenseBuilder, she was already selecting the proper tenses, even on those pesky past tense irregular verbs. I can’t wait for all of you to see it.
I’ll be demoing TenseBuilder on Google Circles at 5:00 pm PST this wednesday. If you aren’t already signed up for Google Circles – do it now so you can join in!.
