Mobile Education Store is pleased to announce that TenseBuilder has been named the 2nd best speech therapy app of 2012 by Let’s Talk Speech Therapy. There are only 5 apps on this list, so it is an honor to be included in such an exclusive group. Let’s Talk Speech Therapy was voted one of the top SLP blogs of 2012, and for good reason. The author, Breanna Allor, does a fantastic job with all of her reviews. Lots of images to go with her text to help you really understand what an app is app about. Thanks so much Breanna!!
TenseBuilder employs video modeling to help kids learn the meaning of tense. We have created 54 movie quality animations, one animation per verb. Because we take the students through an entire timeline, from what will happen to what has already happened, we give students a much deeper understanding of tense markers and why they are important. We are also able to tackle common but more difficult verbs (do, go, get, come) that don’t have as concrete an action associated with them. These verbs can be difficult for many children to comprehend, but with the video animations, they become clear. All of the animations are funny, making the students want to keep playing to see the next funny video. Not only does TenseBuilder teach tense in a way not possible with flash cards or worksheets, but it also engages kids in the learning process.
TenseBuilder is part of Mobile Education Store’s award winning “Builder Series” of education apps. MES has won developer of the year two years running and has won over 35 app awards over the last three years.
