Here is a review of Speech Journal by a teacher using it in her classroom. She describes how she uses it to create digital books with her students. She writes:
The giggles and laughter as they watch their stories is infectious and gets me every time. Children love seeing themselves on the iPad. Speech Journal is such a great extension of the book making process I use weekly in my classroom. All the children not only have a take-home book that they wrote and with their picture in it, they have a digital story book they created on the iPad.
