Mobile Education Store is pleased to announce that our TenseBuilder verb app has been named one of the 12 best education apps of 2012 by Teachers With Apps. This is the third award TenseBuilder has won this year. Teachers With Apps is one of the best known websites for teachers looking for information on education apps of all kinds. With literally tens of thousands of education apps coming out each year, we are thrilled that such a well known organization thinks so highly of TenseBuilder as to include it on this exclusive list.
TenseBuilder employs video modeling to teach tense. There are 54 movie quality animations, one animation per verb. Because we take the students through an entire timeline, from what will happen to what has already happened, we give students a much deeper understanding of tense markers and why they are important. We are also able to tackle common but more difficult verbs (do, go, get, come) that don’t have as concrete an action associated with them. These verbs can be difficult for many children to comprehend, but with the video animations, they become clear. All of the animations are funny, making the students want to keep playing to see the next funny video. Not only does TenseBuilder teach tense in a way not possible with flash cards or worksheets, but it also engages kids in the learning process.
TenseBuilder is the newest addition to Mobile Education Store’s award winning “Builder Series” of educational apps. MES was named Educational App Developer of the Year in both 2011 and 2012. MES has also won over 30 app awards over the last three years.
